Very useful, and customizable. I don’t think it’s appropriate for every site, so let’s hope it won’t appear on every site, it’ll become a major headache.

Meebo is clearly a coding tour-de-force but I thought this list was about user experience? In what parallel universe is it OK to start incorporating browser functions on your web page? It’s not the role of web designers to add functions to their sites that should be part of the browser. If this carries on, we’ll soon have web sites providing a browser-within-a-browser. (Oh wait; we’re almost getting that piece of evil via the Digg toolbar).

We got the version for everyone out just under the wire in 2009!

The biggest reason we chose Wave is not for it’s native interface (which, we admit, isn’t as friendly as it could be) but rather for the abilities of the Wave as a whole as a result of extensions, etcetera.
